Canton Entrepreneur Launch

Canton Entrepreneur Launch provides grants to entrepreneurs who plan to locate new, high-potential business ventures in the city of Canton. This program is designed to create organic business growth by funding startups with the potential to attract additional investment, create substantial economic impact and develop job opportunities within the Canton community. Special consideration is given to businesses focusing on advanced manufacturing, biosciences, information technology and green/cleantech.

To be eligible, entrepreneurs must be located in or willing to move to Canton. They must also meet all HUD eligibility requirements as set forth by the Community Development Block Grants. Finalists can expect to work with a JumpStart-appointed mentor and present their entrepreneurial venture to the Canton Entrepreneur Launch commission, a panel comprised of representatives from the City of Canton, Canton City Council and area business leaders.

Awards must also be used within two years of receipt. Participants will agree to pay back Canton Entrepreneur Launch funds if their business moves outside of the City of Canton within seven years.
